Eating Better Than Organic

CSA Facts

Community Supported Agriculture

Community Supported Agriculture is a relatively new form of direct marketing. CSA farm customers pay for a share of the harvest at the beginning of the year and receive a weekly bundle of vegetables and fruits throughout the growing season.

CSA's minimize some of the negative effects of more conventional systems of food production and distribution because it involves less chemical use, less soil erosion, less food packaging, fewer food miles and more crop and ecosystem diversity.

Eating locally-grown, freshly-harvested food is the basis of a healthy diet. CSA's offer you the opportunity to reconnect with the rhythms of nature by eating produce when it is in season--a way to reunite with the Earth and your community!
